A speedrunner tactic for BoC is to run to the middle of the bed, right under the trunk, equip a bow, and there are to particular branches you can aim at, that you can hit both orbs with. It's like Seath's crystal x 1000. I DO have many issues with Seath on this NG+. Legit lol. He curses (which kills) me everytime. Bed of chaos is actually pretty easy once you noticed the stupid pattern the boss always stick to. First of all, if you have problems with the first 2 parts, I would suggest taking out the left side first. Just make sure you have a shield with good stability and have reasonable endurance to boost (if not wear the endurance recharge ring!)

Bed of Chaos is by far my favourite boss. Aesthetically and lore-wise, not so much for the "fight" itself. That being said, I really like the idea behind it, and while the execution is lacking I've never had anywhere close to as much trouble with it as people seem to think it's worth. One player will go run and destroy one side (ideally with the other player already at the second side ready to smack) .. however once you've got the first side down, don't hit the next one!!! The challenge doesn’t come from predicting its attacks and doing battle in a life-or-death duel. Instead, it comes from pure luck, ensuring you aren’t swiped into the pits of oblivion by their absurdly large arms. The lanky wooden prick isn’t dispatched in the traditional manner either. The Bed of Chaos is bullshit, absolutely, and definitely the worst boss in Dark Souls 1, mechanically. However the BoC is aesthetically fucking awesome, and its lore is some of the most fascinating in the entire game. So it does have a lot of merit to its existence, even if the fight sucks as bad as it does. .

The tree part isnt the witch. That's the bed. The witch is the slug/cricket underneath, and the arms of the bed are the 2 daughters who gave their lives to help seal the chaos within their mother, their izalith Catalysts becoming the spears that 'pin down' the fiery arms of Chaos, that the pc breaks to continue the fight.
