There was an extra bolt-up point on the chain case for that mount. The K20Z1 engine mount I believe has a thinner bolt and stud. A K20Z3 head works just as well as a K20A2 head plus it has better cams. The only difference that you really need to worry about is which intake manifold to slap on. I think thats why Hondata was able to extract more power from the Z1 with the flash than the Z3 with equal mods, thats my guess....

The z3 head was the right choice, z1 is the same as a2 with the water port on the front of the head and not the side. The z3 head is only a few cfm behind the PRB type s casting.
