Dr. Melnick is probably the best professor I have had in my first two years at Auburn. Lectures are great, grading criteria is clear and consistent, and there are plenty of opportunities for some extra credit. Dr. Melnick made a difficult course into an enjoyable one in a supportive learning environment. Also had him for ENGR2350; it was the same.Discussion posts are 10% of your grade. You'll get full credit for doing it. The midterm/final are impossible and are 30% of your grade. Make a DETAILED study guide and read the parts of the book you need to. The group project is a 15 page paper and a presentation. Hope for a good group because my group is the only reason I didn't get an A.
