Getting devoured means you are totally removed from the fight, and thus cannot pass flee, or (obviously) cast spells. It's a known problem with mass feint: it doesn't stack with amulet card (for example, Jewel of the Feint adds nothing to it). Pretty much the things every school should get are the spells related to boosting damage - Feint, tri-blades & tri-traps, Sun damage enchants, your school's respective +25% damage aura, Sharpened Blade, Potent Trap, and the Frenzy aura. Pretty much everything else is optional or based upon if you plan to PvP.If you cast any type of feint, the Shadowwock will interrupt to shout “How Mimsy!” and swap the two traps.
